Salem Lutheran Church will be launching a Sunday evening service, currently planned to begin in late February 2020.  The music will be provided by an acoustic ensemble of keyboard, guitar and violin.  Music will include lyrical hymns from the hymnal Evangelical Lutheran Worship, Taize pieces and other appropriate contemporary selections.

The service will begin at 5:00 pm and run for approximately 30-40 minutes.  The ensemble will also play some brief prelude music.  Music will be provided but ad lib accompaniment will be welcome and hoped for.

Either the keyboardist or the guitarist will lead the singing, and will be expected to be warm and encouraging in that role.  You may apply with that role in mind or simply as an accompanist.

The employment agreement will be for a six month commitment, after which an evaluation of the worship service itself may or may not lead to further engagement, and also an evaluation of the musician’s performance and compliance with expectations may lead to a termination of the agreement or to further employment.

Compensation: $50 per service, plus $50 for occasional group rehearsal.

Submit resumes, cover letters plus an audition tape, if available, to pastorsally@sbcglobal.net.  Auditions will be scheduled as needed. Applications accepted through February 15th.
